NEW INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR THE TRIESTINA FOUNDATION

THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF THIS MORNING AT THE GREEN THEATER
The Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste will be engaged in a very prestigious three-week tour in Japan with a new production by Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata which will touch the main Japanese cities between October / November 2019. The sponsor of the tour will be Allianz, an international insurance group strongly rooted in Italy and in Trieste.
The important announcement was made this morning during the Press Conference held at the Teatro Verdi, which was attended by Superintendent Stefano Pace, the President of Concert Doors Co.Ltd. Masayuki Kobayashi, the Director General Antonio Tasca and the Artistic Director Paolo Rodda of the Triestina Foundation; also present were Maestro Fabrizio Maria Carminati, who will conduct the Teatro Verdi Orchestra and Chorus in this long tour, and Yumi Anna Yaginuma, Artistic Director of the Concert Doors Co.Ltd.
The tour, which will take place between October and November 2019, will visit the most important cities in Japan, including - to name a few - Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai, Omiya, Yokosuka. In Tokyo, the Foundation will be welcomed in the famous "Bunka Kaikan Tokyo", the most important and famous theater in the city, whose main hall has about 2300 seats.
La traviata is a work symbol of the Italian repertoire and is a title that enjoys immense fortune in the so-called global Opera market. The organization of the trip and production will be an impressive organizational effort, which will see the participation of around 110 professionals, including Orchestra, Choir and technicians. The conductor of the production will be Maestro Fabrizio Maria Carminati, reference point for the Theater, who regularly collaborates in all the Verdi seasons, of which he has directed the last two openings, Rigoletto (November 2016) and Evgenij Onegin (November 2017 ).
Superintendent Stefano Pace explains: “This project definitely consolidates Verdi among the international projections of Italian culture. This is one of the most prestigious and important commitments that the Foundation has ever faced. The Teatro Verdi Foundation reaffirms its role as ambassador in the world for the City of Trieste and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. "

Concert Doors Co.Ltd. among the most active cultural operators in Japan, the protagonist for decades of a movement for spreading the Opera in the East. Concert Doors Co.Ltd. he regularly collaborates with the main opera foundations in Italy: since 1996 the company has completed fifty tours in Japan, in collaboration with Italian and European theaters. After the great success of the Teatro Massimo tour in Palermo in 2017, Concert Doors will collaborate in June this year with the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari and in June 2019 with the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
